Too busy for my bible? Time for a little prayer!

My Life

I've Been so busy lately that it seems like it takes all of the strength in me to pick up my bible at the end of the day...funny how even through my tiredness i can manage to get online and post on facebook. I'm wondering if it's that same "force" that causes us to be a little more tired than normal on sunday mornings? I was having a discussion with a friend that mentioned that all of everything breaks loose on sunday while she's getting ready for church: her child (ren) is uncooperative, someone upsets her, something with the house goes wrong, etc. and i began to think, how that could be the story of my life! Last night as i was doing some soul searching and repenting for allowing some of God's alloted time to be taking up by other things, I made a conscious decision to change how i studied my bible alone and the mindset that i have when i'm studying the bible. I thank the Lord each day for my children and the different gifts/talents that he has blessed them with but, i truly thank him for my middle child's love for God and faith....even when i'm feeling worn out mentally, physically, and spiritually that child is like gasoline to a car on "E"! Lately, that has been my fuel which brings me to my point. My pastor recently preached about christians today needing to be seen in a light greater than one's self so much so that we will say, "i'm blessed" when we really need to say, "Please, Pray for me"! So, tonight i'm saying just that and i'll be praying for you all too. God Bless!

Trying to get the hang of things!

Verse of the day:

Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

In My World

I have been gone away from the blog-asphere for longer than i anticipated. To make a long story short.....school started! I have been busier than busy lately and a typical day for me begins with the children and i running out of the door to make it to school on time and ends with me trying to prepare for the next day (school, listings for clients, whatever my children's classes may need, etc.) and make it to bed before 2am.

I have been extremely impressed with the teachers this year and am totally grateful for the school. Going from homeschooling to a "traditional" school setting has been an adjustment....We actually have to be out of the door at the same time each morning! I can't tell you how many times we made it all the way to school and i realized that one of my babies had on two left shoes...it's been an adjustment. Overall, despite the exhaustion i wouldn't trade what we've gotten this school year for the world and i praise God that we've been blessed with the teachers that we have! My daughter comes home singing "this little light of mine" every single day and they are truly happy which makes me even more happy!

I'm excited

Thank You Lord for a new Day!

Apply Thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of Knowledge. Proverbs 23: 12

I have been quite busy (and tired) lately with a mild case of writer's block but i am glad that i've been occupied! I've realized that i become frustrated when i have little to do and extremely happy when i am busy.....i'm so odd :-) I am excited to report that the National Association of Realtors reported that existing home sales rose 3.8% and is showing healthy gains in the second quarter.....I'm thinking that low interest rates as well as the tax credit may have something to do with it!

http://www.floridarealtors.org/NewsAndEvents/article.cfm?id=221434

With home prices being more affordable, interest rates remaining low, and the possibility of getting money next year for purchasing a home this year i can remain optimistic that we may be seeing a recovery soon....but, i'll keep praying on it too :-)

I have a few fun things up my sleeve including a possible ice cream social at Winthrop Park so, please keep checking back for upcoming events!

Guidance

I received this message in an email yesterday and I just had to post it on the "care"-a-van! I wish I knew who the original author was but I don't but whomever it is they did an amazing job with the word Guidance and they've truly blessed me, I hope that you enjoy this as much as I do.

Dancing with God When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing 'dance' at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other. My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw 'G': I thought of God, followed by 'u' and 'I'. 'God, 'u' and 'I' dance.' God, you, and I dance. As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead. My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday. May you abide in God, as God abides in you? Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life. This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached. If God has done anything for you in your life, please share this message with someone else. There is no cost but a lot of rewards; so let's continue to pray for one another. And I Hope You Dance!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!

Daily Scripture: Psalm 16:1 "Preserve me, O God, for in thee do i put my trust"

My two cents $.02
Mom, Today is your day! It should be all about YOU! We often get so caught up in changing diapers, washing dishes or clothe, reading bedtime stories, etc. that "we" are usually last on our own minds! So, if no other day than Mother's day...appreciate yourself because you deserve it! Whether you go out to eat with you family or to a spa for some much needed peace and quiet, don't forget to thank the Lord for those special blessings known as children!

Market place
I don't know if you've heard, First time homebuyer's are benefiting the most from this current market! Seller incentives, low interest rates, and more importantly the $8000 tax credit! a few facts about the credit:

- Passed into legislation January 2009 (not the same as the $7500 tax credit from 2008)
- May be applied to primary residences including: single family homes, condos, townhomes, and co-ops
-The maximum allowable credit is $8,000 which is determined by the price of the home
-If buyer occupies homes for 3 or more years there is no repayment stipulation as with the $7500 tax credit of '08
